Lavanya Tripathi accepts the Green India Challenge and plants 50 saplings

It looks like Tollywood celebs are on a planting spree as they take up the Green India Challenge for a cleaner India. The latest actress to join the bandwagon is Lavanya Tripathi, who posted a picture of her planting saplings near Sahastradhara lake in Uttarakhand.

Against the backdrop of stunning scenic beauty, the actress along with her brother and other friends was seen getting her hands muddy.

The saplings were planted on the side of a road. Taking to social media, she wrote, ““Thank you @nandureddyy for nominating me for this wonderful cause, and as they say “the more the merrier”. I along with my brother asked these wonderful people to help us in this challenge and we together planted 50 trees #greenindiachallenge. I further nominate @rituvarma @actorkartikeya @vennelakish @nehwalsaina @anitha_reddy_27”(sic).

Among those nominated by the actress, actor Karthikeya had already taken up the Green India Challenge once but he was still game. He wrote, “l already did Lavanya. but since you nominated, will do it again”(sic).
Earlier quite a few Tollywood celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Nagarjuna, Samantha, Sharwanad, Shruti Haasan, etc., participated in this challenge urging all their fans to plant more trees and make the planet Earth greener and cleaner.
Lavanya will soon be seen in

alongside actor Sundeep Kishan. The movie is directed by Dennis Jeevan Kanukolanu and is all set to release once theatres reopen.
