During his promotional activities for 'Kushi' in Tamil Nadu, Vijay Deverakonda was questioned about his interest in other Tamil directors beyond Lokesh Kanagaraj, Nelson Dilipkumar, and Vetrimaaran. The reporter's straightforward question indeed took everyone aback. He was asked by the reporter, 'Apart from filmmakers like Vetrimaaran, Lokesh Kanakaraj, and Nelson, do you consider any other directors worthy of your attention?'

Vijay Deverakonda responded to the query by mentioning several directors from Tamil cinema whom he holds in high regard. He listed Arun Prabu Purushothaman, Shree Karthick, and Arun Matheswaran, along with the movies they have worked on or are currently involved with.

Despite being a query that often catches celebrities off guard, Vijay responded with his characteristic cleverness, making it clear to the reporter that he possesses a good understanding of Tamil films and their directors.

When questioned, Vijay Deverakonda responded by asking if he was believed to be unfamiliar with other directors. He expressed his admiration for Arun Prabhu, mentioning his movies 'Aruvi' and 'Vaazhl.' He also praised Shree Karthick, noting his recent directorial debut, and showed appreciation for Arun Matheswaran, who is working on 'Captain Miller.' Vijay emphasized that he was well-acquainted with the talent in the industry.

Currently, Vijay is extensively involved in promoting his upcoming romantic comedy film 'Kushi,' co-starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The film is scheduled for release on September 1. In consideration of her mental and physical health, Samantha has taken a break from the industry and has assured her fans of a happy comeback. She recently participated in the 41st India Parade in New York, and her fans and admirers took pictures of her while she explored New York City.
