first-look

of

Kuchipudi

dancer Sandhya Raju from her debut Telugu film titled

Natyam

.

The concept of the film runs on the theme of ‘telling a story through

dance

in a beautiful way’. The feature film that will soon hit screens in Telangana and AP sees the dancer from Hyderabad make her debut in a Telugu film. In the first-look and motion poster shared by Upasana, Sandhya can be seen in a traditional saree, with a Nataraju idol behind her as she strikes a pose. The poster has heightened curiosity about her role and the film’s story.


Debutant director Revanth Korukonda has not just penned the tale, he has also directed it, apart from working as its cinematographer and editor. Natyam reportedly shows the beautiful and unique relationship a guru shares with his student. There will also be a

love story

in the film that will tug heartstrings. Apart from Sandhya, the film will see Kamal Kamaraju, Rohit Behal, Aditya Menon, Subhaleka Sudhakar, Bhanupriya and Baby Deevana in key roles.

Music for the film is composed by Shravan Bharadwaj. Natyam was shot at the temples of Hampi, Lepakshi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Sandhya is not new to acting though. She previously acted in a short-film by the same name in which she played Kalyani, a housewife who rediscovers her passion for art. She also forayed into feature films with the Malayalam film Careful. Further details are awaited.
