It’s already evident that popular south actress
Aishwarya Rajesh is making her Tollywood debut with the upcoming
sports-drama
‘
Kousalya Krishnamurthy
’. Considered to be the remake of 2018 Kollywood film ‘
Kanaa
’, the official teaser of the Telugu version has been released by Megastar
Chiranjeevi a few moments ago. While the talented actress has reprised her titular role of a village girl with cricket aspirations, veteran actor
Rajendra Prasad stepped into the shoes of Sathyaraj. Much to our excitement, Kollywood superstar
Sivakarthikeyan is also reprising his role as a coach.
The 68-second teaser reveals that the film is about a village girl who follows her dream to become a national-level cricketer against all odds. A few dialogues in the video clip like ‘Cricket isn’t a women’s game’, ‘Most of the farmers are alive because they don’t have money to purchase poison’ and ‘It isn’t enough if you dream, you should be stubborn enough to achieve’ prove that the film is helmed with a lot of heart and honesty.
Aishwarya Rajesh makes quite a splash as the gritty cricketer with steely glances, fiery bowling and of course, tears of ambition. While
Bheemaneni Srinivasa Rao
is making his directorial comeback with ‘Kousalya Krishnamurthy’, KS Rama Rao is bankrolling the film under Creative Commercials. Meanwhile, the makers seemed to have copied everything from the Tamil teaser shot-by-shot.
