Vijay Deverakonda will be next seen in the spy action thriller 'Kingdom', which is soon set to hit the big screens. However, the latest reports suggest the actor is currently unwell and battling dengue.
According to a report by Entertainment AF, the Arjun Reddy star has been hospitalized and is undergoing treatment, forcing him to take a break from the film’s promotional activities.
Why Vijay is skipping promotions
With 'Kingdom' scheduled to hit the big screens on July 31, fans were expecting to see Vijay Deverakonda in full swing promoting the spy thriller. However, his health condition has reportedly kept him away from media interactions and events. The report also suggests that his family is by his side at the hospital, closely monitoring his recovery.
The report further claims that Vijay is expected to be discharged by July 20, after which he may gradually resume promotional duties if his health permits.
About 'Kingdom'
Directed by 'Jersey' fame Gowtam Tinnanuri, 'Kingdom' is said to be an intense spy action drama set against the backdrop of the post-Independence Sinhala-Tamil conflict. The film follows a man's journey as he rises to become a leader who would do anything to protect his people.
The movie features Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev in pivotal roles, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his first collaboration with Vijay Deverakonda and another reunion with director Gowtam.
Interestingly, the OTT giant Netflix has already acquired the digital streaming rights for a massive Rs 50 crore.
What's next for Vijay?
Vijay Deverakonda is expected to work in multiple upcoming projects. His next venture is with director Rahul Sankrityan, tentatively titled 'VD14,' which is rumoured to be a historical war drama set during colonial India. He also has 'SVC59,' directed by Ravi Kiran Kola.
