Keerthy Suresh's direct-OTT release Penguin's story revealed

Eashvar Karthic’s Keerthy Suresh starrer Penguin’s trailer was launched today by Nani, Mohanlal and Dhanush.
The trailer saw Keerthy Suresh’s character both look for a missing child called Ajay and later as a pregnant woman who seems to be chasing a serial killer. According to a press note sent out, the ‘spine-chilling crime thriller’ sees Keerthy play the role of a pregnant mother who sets out on a dangerous and physically demanding mystery to unravel a mystery from her past and save her loved ones.

The teaser and trailer both hint that harm has been done to her child Ajay, who goes missing in the forest near their home at the hill station they stay at. Keerthy’s character in the film will be named Rhythm and talking about the film, she says, “Penguin has definitely been one of the most exciting and interesting projects I’ve worked on. As a mother, my character Rhythm is both gentle and caring, but she is also fiercely determined. She’s complex and authentic; something I believe will strike a chord with the audience.”
Talking about her experience of shooting for the film, Keerthy adds, “I had a wonderful time working with Eashvar Karthic. He’s incredibly talented and is a wonderful director who brought this story to life. It’s great that the film is releasing in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam so more people will have access to the content.”
Penguin’s story has also been shared by the OTT platform the film will be streaming on from June 19. The film’s synopsis reads – Rhythm, leading a happy life and about to have her second child, is traumatized by nightmares in which she sees an ‘umbrella man’ harming her lost son. She sets off on a dangerous journey along with her trained dog to unravel the secrets behind the nightmares and to protect her loved ones.
