It was
KV Guhan’s film 118
that gave
Nandamuri Kalyanram a much-needed break, and now, the actor is all set to join hands with debutant
Venu Mallidi
. The new film has been titled
‘Thuglak’
.
Venu Mallidi recently met Kalyan to narrate the script and decided to work together for the film. Nandamuri Kalyanram himself will bankroll the project under his
NTR Arts banner
. The film will go on floors sometime in May as the pre-production work is underway. Only Kalyanram is on board, the makers are yet to finalise female lead and other cast and crew members. Touted to be a social fantasy film, the film will have the actor in a never-seen-before avatar.
Nandamuri Kalyanram had a humble beginning in films and is winning us over with every passing film. A revenge seeker in ‘Athanokkade’, a village young man in ‘Lakshmi Kalyanam’, a police offer in ‘Pataas’, and an investigative journalist in ‘118, Kalyanram is what his directors want him to be.
