'. This time, the actor teamed up with ace director Puri Jagannadh and is producing the movie under his own production house. In the first look of the movie released on September 2, the actor flaunted a six pack, for the very first time in his career. Director Puri Jagannadh says, "Kalyan Ram will be seen playing a powerful character in 'ISM', which is a different role for him. The movie is going to be a powerful one for me as well. (sic)" The shooting of the film is nearing completion as its major schedule in Spain was wrapped up.

The actor portrays a journalist in 'ISM', in which debutante Aditi Arya is seen as his love interest. Anoop Rubens is composing tunes for the film which is said to hit the screens for Dasara. Jagapathi Babu, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Tanikella Bharani, Posani Krishna Murali were a few prominent actors in the movie among others.
