'Kalki 2898 AD' Day 5 box office collection: Nag Ashwin's sci-fi mints Rs. 371 crore

The highly anticipated film 'Kalki 2898 AD', featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone, has lived up to its expectations as a blockbuster. Directed by Nag Ashwin, this mythological sci-fi film has been making headlines since its release on June 27.

In its first six days, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has amassed impressive earnings. According to reports, the movie earned Rs. 27.85 crore on its sixth day across all languages in India. This brought its total earnings in India to a staggering Rs. 371 crore. Although there was an 18.45% dip in collections from the fifth day, the film's performance remains strong. Globally, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has also done exceptionally well, earning Rs. 625 crore in just five days.

The film was released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, and is also available in multiple formats. On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, the movie recorded an overall 36.92% occupancy in Telugu theatres, reflecting its continued popularity among audiences.

The movie's stories lie in a dystopian future 6000 years after the Mahabharata war, 'Kalki 2898 AD' is a gripping tale with a star-studded cast. Prabhas plays Bhairava, a bounty hunter determined to gain entry into a mysterious Complex. Deepika Padukone portrays Sumathi, also known as SUM-80, as a pregnant woman carrying an unborn child central to the story. Amitabh Bachchan takes on the role of Ashwatthama, a guardian protecting Sumathi. Kamal Haasan plays Yaskin, the Supreme Leader, and the main antagonist of the saga.
