For someone who believes that cinema was all about pomp and grandeur, it does seem a little ironic that Pattabhi R Chilukuri decided to debut with a low-budget love triangle, Kaadhali. Featuring
Sai Ronak, Pooja K Doshi and
Harish Kalyan in the lead, the movie is narrated from a woman’s perspective. “It is necessity that drove me towards making Kaadhali,” says Pattabhi and elaborates, “I had written many scripts which required huge investments and a power-packed cast, over the decades.
After several attempts, I finally decided to debut with a sensible film, just to prove my work and showcase my skills.”
Speaking about the film, Pattabhi, who was a software engineer before he found his true calling in cinema, says, “Kaadhali is about the routine conflicts a woman faces at the time of her marriage. What happens when a woman meets two interesting guys around this period is what forms the crux of the story. The innovative
narrative will be the highlight of the film.”
