Junior NTR unveils ‘Natyam’ Teaser: Kuchipudi dancer Sandhya Raju is a treat to watch

Popular Kuchipudi performer Sandhya Raju is making her debut in the Telugu film industry with the upcoming film ‘Natyam’. Junior NTR launched the teaser of the dance film on Wednesday and conveyed his wishes to the whole team. Despite busy with the shooting of RRR, the 37-year-old actor made time to encourage a film which revolves around classical dance. Also, Tarak himself is a trained professional in Kuchipudi.

Starring Sandhya Raju in the titular role, ‘Natyam’ is touted to be a romantic drama revolving around various forms of dance. The teaser hints that the film tells the story of Kadambari, a romantic novel in Sanskrit which has an extremely intricate plot. While Kamal Kamaraju is essaying a crucial role in ‘Natyam’, accomplished dancer Rohit Behal is seen as the love interest of the leading lady.

Besides writing and directing the film, Revanth Korukonda has handled the cinematography and editing as well. While Shravan Bharadhwaj has composed the music, Karunakar Adigarla penned the lyrics. Popular producer Dil Raju is releasing the film under his home banner.
In 2016, Sandhya Raju starred in the 40-minute short film titled ‘Natyam’ directed by the same Revanth. She played the role of Kalyani, a housewife caught in the humdrum of married life and trying to rediscover her passion for dance. She also forayed into feature films with the Malayalam film Careful. Sandhya is the daughter of billionaire industrialist PR Venketrama Raja and daughter-in-law of Satyam Computers founder Ramalinga Raju.
