Jr NTR to join hands with 'Jailer' director Nelson Dilipkumar for action-packed film

Last seen in 'Devara', Jr NTR is one of the most celebrated stars in the Telugu film industry and is currently busy with several exciting projects that cement his position as a pan-Indian star.

According to a Pinkvilla report, Jr NTR is also set to collaborate with Nelson Dilipkumar, known for directing 'Jailer', on an action film that will go on floors in the second half of 2026. This project is currently in the ideation stage and will be produced by Naga Vamsi and is expected to hit the screens by 2027.

Jr NTR is also in talks with Hanu Raghavapudi, director of 'Hi Nanna', for a two-part feature film.

The 'RRR' star is currently shooting for 'Dragon', a period drama directed by Prashanth Neel, which is set to release on January 9, 2026. This film marks Jr NTR's first collaboration with the acclaimed director of 'KGF' and 'Salaar'. 'Dragon' is expected to be an epic tale centred around immigration, with Jr NTR playing a saviour for Telugu people facing challenges in Bangladesh.

Jr NTR is planning a sequel to 'Devara', which is in the writing stage and will begin production once 'Dragon' is completed.

Before 'Dragon', Jr NTR will make his Bollywood debut with 'War 2', a sequel to the successful spy thriller 'War'. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, 'War 2' stars Hrithik Roshan alongside Jr NTR, marking a significant entry into the Hindi film industry. The film is part of the YRF Spy Universe and is scheduled for release on August 14, 2025.
