Jr NTR's latest outing 'Devara: Part 1' has become one of the biggest releases of the year. Prior to the release of the film one of the most talked parts of the film was about Jr NTR again facing the infamous "Rajamouli Curse". It has been ten days since the release of the film. The movie is basking in tremendous success as it has globally minted over Rs 400 crores suggesting overcoming it.

As per a report by Gulte, Jr NTR addressed these rumors head-on. He criticized the tendency to blame Rajamouli for an actor's following failures, stating that it is unfair to push the responsibility onto him when films do not perform well. Jr NTR finds some comfort in being labeled a "Myth Breaker" as he said, "Though the curse-talk is not real, it’s just a myth, saying that there is a curse and I’ve broken it, is making me feel good to an extent."

For the unversed, there has been a series of eerie coincidences where it is seen that whenever an actor makes a huge film with Rajamouli their next film is deemed to underperform at the box office.

For instance, after starring in Rajamouli's 'Student No. 1', Jr NTR's next project, 'Subbu', was a flop. This pattern continued with other films, such as 'Simhadri' followed by 'Andhrawala', and 'Yamadonga' followed by 'Kantri'. Other actors like Prabhas and Ram Charan have also faced similar situations after they collaborated with Rajamouli.

'Devara' is enjoying a marvellous run in the theatres currently. The film, directed by Koratala Siva features Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan making their Telugu debut.
