Jani Master arrested in Goa by Cyderabad police under POCSO

Renowned choreographer Shaik Jani Basha, known as Jani Master, has been arrested following accusations of sexual assault. A zero FIR was filed after the victim, who was allegedly his 21-year-old assistant, lodged a complaint. The police launched an investigation, during which it was discovered that the victim was a minor at the time of the crime. Consequently, Jani Master has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Reports suggest that Jani Master had not only sexually assaulted the victim but also threatened her against reporting the incident. After the complaint was registered, Jani Master reportedly went missing but was later found in Goa. The Hyderabad police arrested him following an extensive search operation. The choreographer was first bought under custody in Bengaluru and following that the Telangana's cyderabad police shifted him to Hyderabad.

The Telugu film industry has responded strongly to the accusations, with many expressing their unwillingness to work with Jani Master in the future. Pawan Kalyan, through his political party page Jana Sena, announced that there will be no further association between the party and the choreographer. Actor Allu Arjun, who has previously worked with Jani Master, offered his support to the victim, assuring her job opportunities and security following the incident.
