Brazilian Bombshell Izabelle Leite steams up the cyberspace with her alluring photo-shoots
Hailing from the state of Paraíba in Brazil, Izabelle Leite sweated it out in Mumbai during her initial years as a model. Though she couldn’t speak either Hindi or English, she gradually worked her way to the top by interacting with locals, getting to know about the workflow of glamour arena and learning the nuances of modelling and acting. In 2012, she made her Bollywood debut by essaying the supporting role of a prostitute in Aamir Khan’s Talaash and followed it up with the leading lady role of Anu in the erotic thriller Sixteen. After making her debut in Telugu cinema with Akhil Akkineni’s ‘Mr Majnu’, Izabelle was recently seen in Vijay Deverakonda’s World Famous Lover as a French pilot.

It’s been over eight years since Izabelle Leite landed in India to earn money as her father has lost his job back then. After signing up with an agency, she managed to do several modelling assignments and print ads in Mumbai. As she was uncomfortable to speak in both English and Hindi, she left the audition midway for her maiden Hindi film ‘Sixteen’. However, the director contacted her agency and she had to reluctantly give in an audition. Impressed by her on-screen presence, Raj Purohit gave her two weeks to practise the dialogues and eventually, she delivered.

Despite busy with modelling commitments, Izabelle Leite grabbed every movie opportunity she got with both hands. After ‘Sixteen’, she played the female lead role of Nayantara in the coming-of-age drama Purani Jeans directed by Tanushri Chattrji Bassu. Though she was impressive in her part, the film fell flat at the ticket counters. Before making her South debut with ‘Majnu’, she featured in the superhit video single of ‘Lahore’ crooned, composed and written by Guru Randhawa.

In 2014, Izabelle Leite revealed during one of her interviews that she had dated Indian cricketer Virat Kohli for two years after the duo worked in an ad film for the first time. She told a leading portal “Virat was one of the first Indian friends I had when I came to India. We were dating for quite a while. We were together for almost two years. But we didn’t want to make it public. So yeah, Virat and I did have a relationship.”

In Jayanth C. Paranji’s upcoming action slammer ‘Narendra’, Izabelle Leite is playing a human-rights activist who supports the fight for freedom in Pakistan. The cross-border film features WWE wrestler Great Khali as an Afghan prisoner and Payal Rajput as a female fighter pilot. The plot of ‘Narendra’ revolves around a retired boxing champion’s life and it is a classic tale of a prison break, the genre which is quite rare in Indian cinema.
