' were looking forward to the days when theaters across the country will re-open to run at full capacity. Now, It has been announced that ' Thalaivii will be released on September 10 as a Vinayaka Chavati gift. Telugu-speaking Vishnu Induri is one of the producers of this film.

Thalaivi

makers re-think its release.

However, Tamil Nadu has recently opened theaters to 50 percent occupancy. Since the film is based on Jayalalithaa, the makers reportedly hoped that ‘Thalaivii’ will bring in good revenues in the South as the market here looks promising.


Thalaivii’ is one of the popular films that stopped its release due to corona blow when the first copy was also ready. The film is based on the life story of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. Tamil filmmaker AL Vijay has directed this project starring Hindi film actress Kangana Ranaut. The film was slated to release on April 23 this year, at the same time the movie was forced to postpone due to covid second wave.

Kangana Ranaut is reported to have worked very hard to play the role of Jayalalithaa in this film. Kangana's incarnation as Jayalalithaa has become attractive with the addition of prosthetic make-up to her.

‘Thalaivii’ is expected to get a good response from the audience. However, Nagachaitanya – Shekar Kammula’s crazy movie 'Love Story is also releasing on September 10.
