On the occasion of Vijay Deverakonda's birthday, the makers made the announcement of his upcoming projects, including a film tentatively titled 'VD14'. This project marks Vijay’s reunion with director Rahul Sankrithyan, who previously directed him in the successful film 'Taxiwaala'. Reports suggest that Vijay is keen on having Rashmika join him in this new venture, according to Gulte. This has increased speculation about her possible involvement.

Rashmika, who was seen briefly in 'The Family Star' in the song "Kalyani Vache Vache" before her cameo was cut from the final film, has expressed a keen interest in working with Vijay again. In an interview with Pinkvilla, she shared her eagerness to find the right script that could bring them together again, acknowledging the fans' desire to see their favourite pair on screen.

While their previous collaboration, 'Dear Comrade,' didn't meet expectations, the potential pairing in 'VD14' offers a chance for fans to see their chemistry's magic that made 'Geetha Govindam' a hit.

In addition to 'VD14', Vijay Deverakonda is also involved in other projects including 'VD12', directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, and 'SVC59', helmed by Ravi Kiran Kola.
