Is Prabhas starrer ‘The Raja Saab’ release postponed? Here’s what we know

After the blockbuster hits ‘Salaar’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, the Telugu superstar Prabhas is all set for a horror-comedy film ‘The Raaja Saab’ and the expectations are quite high. Unfortunately, a recent report says that the release of this Prabhas starrer might face a delay.

According to Money Control reports, Prabhas has sustained a sprain in his ankle while shooting a different movie and due to this reason, the filming of ‘The Raja Saab’ has been delayed.

‘The Raja Saab’ was expected to hit the big screens on April 25, 2025, and due to this roadblock, the Prabhas starrer will be reportedly pushing its release to a further date.


Written and directed by Maruthi, ‘The Raja Saab’ is surely one of the most anticipated films of 2025 and the Prabhas starrer is a horror-comedy film which is expected to bring a different kind of acting style from the ‘Salaar’ actor.


Prabhas will be reportedly playing a dual role in this romantic comedy entertainer. Prabhas’ will be stepping into the shoes of a small-time crook and an ancient chieftain named Das and Raja Saab respectively. Malavika Mohanan will mark her Telugu debut with this Prabhas starrer which also features the actors Nidhhi Agerwal, Murali Sharma, Sanjay Dutt, Zarina Wahab, Riddhi Kumar, Anupam Kher, Vennela Kishore, Yogi Babu, and many other top actors.


On the other hand, Prabhas’ previous outing was with Nag Ashwin’s directorial ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ which turned out to be a superhit. The fantasy action drama movie was loosely inspired from ‘Star War’ and other dystopian films, and received good reviews from the audiences majorly due to its unique mix with Indian mythology. The movie also featured Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, Vijay Deverakonda, Anna Ben, Deepika Padukone and several others in the lead.
