Similarly, she feels that comic-caper Sye Aata revolving around a dance reality TV show, and horror flick Mangala, have enough potential to help tide over a lean patch.'In Sye Aata, I play a choreographer, and working with 12 kids was truly enriching as I could relate to their innocence and honesty. Mangala is different, it's a horror flick,' she informs. On being the torchbearer of women-oriented films for quite some time, she says, 'Frankly, I have no choice since I am getting only author-backed roles and the terrain is tough,' she admits, but adds with grit, 'No doubt it's a tough mission but I am in no mood to give up, although many of my colleagues have changed tracks to repeat themselves.
Probably, I am destined to be the torchbearer,' she informs. Doesn't she miss onscreen romance with T-town stars? 'Of course I miss onscreen romance with stars but it's been 3 years since I have taken a new route. I like to have some fun, play some pranks and feel relieved of the burden of carrying a film on my shoulders!' she exclaims.
On duds like Kavya's Diary and Manorama, she says, 'I have resolved to experiment with roles, so be they hits or flops is of little consequence,' she quips. She has shed loads of weight adhering to strict diet and excercise regimen, giving her competitors a stiff challenge, with her sculpted body. 'Maha Maha song in Manthra was a sensation but I'll be looking even hotter and sexier in Mangala, showcasing my glam looks in two fascinating numbers,' she avers. The actress completed 9 years in the industry in May and threw a party to celebrate. 'Most T-town actors, directors and producers turned up to bless me. To be precise, I have 30 close friends in the industry, who will take my calls even at midnight and rush to help, if required,' she says confidently. Besides the goodwill, she is proud of her bank balance and swanky car. ' At 22, I think I have enough bank balance, a swanky home and my prized possession ---a BMW,' she asserts.
Foodie-turned-fitness freak Charmme advises women to concentrate on cardio and diet to reduce excess weight. She parties only with close friends , as she dislikes socialising with strangers. Is she a gadget freak? ' I'm not a gadget freak, I haven't changed my mobile phone in 4 years and I don't have a laptop,' she says decidedly.
