Introduced, quite fittingly, as the 'Queen of Telugu cinema', Anushka Shetty won the Best Actor in a Lead Role (Female) for her role in Rudhramadevi. Her co-star Rana Daggubati handed her the award. 'i thank director Gunasekhar garu for making such a beautiful film. He heard the story of Rudhramadevi when he was in school ' before he even dreamt of being a filmmaker. The story travelled with him and he never gave up on it.That is how Rudhramadevi happened. So that's been my learning from this film ' if you have a dream, don't give up on it. If you stick by it, magic will unfold.' The actress went on to add: 'I want to dedicate this award to technicians of all 24 crafts who worked on this film. It is a result of the hard work of the complete crew.'
