Another sneak-peek into debutant director Vijay Kanakamedala’s film

, which sees Allari Naresh in the lead role, was released recently.

Breathe of Naandhi

, the short-clip that was released by Said haram Tej sees the lead character decide to fight for justice of mistreated prisoners even if it costs him his life. After showing Allari Naresh’s character stripped naked and hung upside down by brutal cops, this short clip shows him tied to a pole on his back.


Talking during the launch of the clip, the actor made it clear that he’s looking for quality over quantity when it comes to films now. “I used to do a lot of comedy films and while the audience would love them, none of them would remember me for my acting skills. Only when I acted in Gamyam did I get noticed as a performer, so I would like to do more such films,” he said, adding, “I’m happy I said yes to Naandhi because the film is terrific. I have also given my nod to Vijay for another project.”

Naandhi also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Priyadarshi,Harish Uthaman, Praveen, Navami, Srikanth Aiyyengar,Vinay Varma, Devi Prasad, Pramodhini, Manichandana and others in key roles. The film sees music by

Talking to Hyderabad Times about his role, Allari Naresh had said, “I play the role of an innocent person who is framed for a cold-blooded crime. The film will showcase how my character gets tortured in prison and how he finds a way out of it. It’s going to be raw and impactful.”

Director Vijay also elaborated on the film’s story and said, “There is a lot of public anger after the death of Jayaraj and Bennicks and rightly so. Naandhi will also showcase how a suspect suffers inhuman treatment in prison at the hands of the police. I want people to feel the same sense of anger and rage after seeing this film so that we can start a conversation about reforming the system and prevent such instances from taking place in the future.”
