Shalini Pandey revealed that her dream is to play legendary actress,
Savitri on screen. She added that her theatre background had helped her immensely to play the character Susheela in
Mahanati
. When director
Nag Ashwin told her that the movie will have portions related to stage plays, she immediately gave her consent to be part of the project, shared the actress.
In a recent interview given to a leading newspaper, the actress said, she signed up for Mahanati even before Arjun Reddy’s release. She said she is elated about being a part of the biopic, adding that though she didn’t know much about Savitri, she has a new-found respect for her, thanks to the movie.
The actress will be seen playing the character, Mahalakshmi in GV Prakash’s upcoming 100% Kaadhal. Her character will be very different from that of Arjun Reddy, shared the actress.
