Hyderabad is like my home away from home: Ulka Gupta

Actress Ulka Gupta, who debuted in Telugu as a young Rudhramadevi in the eponymous Anushka-starrer, was recently back in Hyderabad again. “I’d travelled here ten years ago for the first time for my debut Telugu film. Ever since I’ve been coming here now and then. The place has become like my second home now, I have to come at least once every three months without fail,” she shares.

While in the city, Ulka, who recently appeared in the Hindi TV show Banni Chow Home Delivery, engaged in several meetings. Juggling between Hindi and Telugu projects is difficult she admits. “I aspire to return and work in Telugu once more, but I desire the film to be as remarkable as my debut. If circumstances align favourably, I have an exciting surprise in store for my beloved fans here. ”

While in Hyderabad, Ulka Gupta indulges in exploring the city’s renowned tourist spots. She shares, “Charminar and Golconda areamong my frequent destinations. When seeking spiritual solace, the tranquil ambiance of the Peddamma Thalli temple never fails to bring me inner peace. ” When it comes to culinary delights, Ulka reveals her fondness, saying, “I take great pleasure in relishing rava dosa with peanut and coconut chutney. And if I’m craving for it, I savour a traditional Andhra meal comprising of pappu, rasam, sambar, vankaya kura, and rice. The meal is perfectly complemented by refreshing perugu. On my cheat days, bhajji is my go-to indulgence. ”
