Samantha Ruth Prabhu had filed a defamation case in a Hyderabad court against a couple of YouTube channels and a doctor named
CL Venkat Rao
for uploading false and baseless videos that are
maligning her image
.
The
Kukatpally Court in Hyderabad
was hearing a petition filed by Samantha seeking an order to remove videos of incorrect, false, malicious, and
defamatory information
against her on YouTube channels. The court, however, asked the defendants to ensure the defamatory videos made against the actor have to be taken down and should not be uploaded again. Dr CL Venkat Rao was also asked not to make
baseless allegations
against Samantha and her personal life.
We already know that Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Akkineni Naga Chaitanya announced their separation after 4 years of marriage on October 2. In a joint statement, the couple said they have decided to part ways as husband and wife. Sam wrote, ''To all our well-wishers, after much deliberation and thought, Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. Samantha broke her silence on reports claiming she is dating her stylist Preetham Jukalker and had abortions. Taking to Instagram, the actor lashed out at the rumours and also slammed trolls who have been spreading derogatory comments. Taking to social media, she wrote, "Your emotional investment into a personal crisis has overwhelmed me. Thank you all for showing deep empathy, concern and for defending me against false rumours and stories that are being spread. They say I had affairs, never wanted children, that I am an opportunist and now that I have had abortions. A divorce in itself is an extremely painful process. Let alone allowing me the time to heal. This attack on me personally, has been relentless. But I promise you this, I will never allow this or anything else they say, break me (sic)."
