How Anushka fought with a fractured wrist in Rudhramadevi

A couple of days ago, director Gunasekhar shared a picture of Anushka Shetty offering a piece of cake to him with her right wrist wrapped in bandage, which went viral online. Apparently, the actress ���suffered a hairline fracture while filming for the climax episode��� of the period drama and shot for around 10 days through intense pain, while refusing a body double.The film���s unit was shooting for an elaborate war sequence at a special set erected on the outskirts of the city. It is a re-enactment of how Rudrama Devi defends her kingdom when the Devagiri Sainyam (army of the kingdom of Devagiri) surrounds her fortress.
���It���s a gruelling war sequence that was shot for 40 days. Anushka suffered a hairline fracture on her wrist due to the sword fight sequences around the 30th day. The doctors advised her to take a break and Gunasekhar offered to complete the rest of the shoot using a body double.Anushka, however, refused to use a body double and continued to shoot regardless, to wrap up the film���s shoot,��� informs a source in the film���s unit, adding, ���She shot with five rolls of skin coloured bandage on her wrist and took pain killer injections to complete the shoot on time.
