Hollywood filmmaker duo Daniel Kwan praised Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer 'RRR'. The SS Rajamouli’s directorial was released in cinemas on March 25, receiving generally positive reviews from crowds and reviewers and making a tremendous box-office haul. The director duo is most recognised for its work in 'Swiss Army Man' and 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' and is widely regarded as one of today's most unique, ambitious, and creative directors.
Heaping praise on the film, the director duo Daniel Kwan wrote, ''After a busy year of work and travelling I’ve finally checked a couple of things off my list 1) finished my taxes (I know the irony) and 2) watched RRR. HOLY COW ya’ll weren’t kidding. Anytime I watch an Indian action film I feel like I’m working in the wrong country.''
He added, ''What really struck me is, while a lot of the blockbusters we’re making in the states tend to have self-aware, cheeky characters trapped in self-serious filmmaking, RRR was all heart-on-its-sleeve sincerity wrapped up in the most ridiculous over the top execution. So much to love.''
'RRR' has shattered several records at the Box Office worldwide and it is expected that it will continue its dream run in Japan as well. Also starring Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Samthirakani and Olivia Morris, the film will hit the screens in Japan on October 21. Since its release on March 25, RRR has earned a whopping Rs 1161 crore in India while garnering Rs 205 crore overseas. The Hindi dubbed version of the film has collected more than Rs 277 crore.
Team 'RRR' has kicked off the film’s promotions in Japan ahead of the release on October 21. Jr NTR, Ram Charan and SS Rajamouli are currently in Japan for the promotions of the film.
