Sonu Sood as the main antagonist.
Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde play crucial roles in the film.
The team of the film completed the major part of the shoot before the second wave-induced lockdown.
Eventually, they were interrupted by the COVID-19 lockdown imposed by the Telangana govt due to the onset of the second wave. The government has given a green signal to shoots after June 20. That way, the team will be ready to begin filming. Buzz in the industry is that the shooting is likely to resume in the first week of July, and the film is planned for an October 2021 release window. However, there is no official confirmation on the same. At a time when fans are desperately waiting to know updates about the film, this news has come up as a sweet surprise.
'Acharya' also stars Jissu Sengupta, Saurav Lokesh, Kishore, Poasani Krishna Murali, Tanikella Bharani,
Ajay and
Regina Cassandra in key roles. Hearsay has that the film is being made on a huge budget of Rs 150 crore. So far, the makers have released the first look of Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, a teaser, and a lyrical song. The music has been composed by Mani Sharma while the cinematography was taken care of by S Thirunavukarasu. Navin Nooli will edit the flick.
