Ever since its release, the film has been making good business at the box office and holding steady even days after. 1x1 polls

Ram Gopal Varma, who has been a staunch supporter of Puri Jagannadh’s film, promoting the film on his social media before its release and even taking part in the celebrations after release, has made it clear which film he still supports. Indirectly mocking ‘Dear Comrade’ for failing to take off, the director shared box office numbers and wrote, “is issmart shankar more Issmart than nonissmart comrade or is nonissmart comrade not more issmart than Shankar? Truth only RAM’s VIJAYam knows.” (sic)
Fans leave comments disappointed at RGV’s comment, calling it a disgrace that he’s comparing Bharat Kamma’s film to a commercial entertainer. Some even posted a video clip of Vijay Deverakonda from before the film’s release where he makes it clear they’re not making the film to please anyone and are refusing to play to the gallery.
