Happy Birthday Vijayashanthi: Mahesh Babu wishes the actress as she turns 54

Lady superstar Vijayashanthi celebrates her 54th birthday today. Tollywood star Mahesh Babu was the first one to extend birthday wishes to the star.

Vijayashanthi quit films for politics and has made her comeback after 13 long years into the film industry with the Mahesh Babu starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru.She essayed Medical College Professor, Bharathi, whose soldier son died at war. She confronts the local MLA Yeddula Nagendra and army major Ajay Krishna sets out to crush all her enemies. Ever since the film got released, the yesteryear heroine has been receiving praises for her role as well as the movie.
For the uninitiated, Mahesh and Vijayashanthi have shared screen space in the 1989 action-drama Koduku Diddina Kapuram starring Krishna Ghattamaneni as the protagonist. Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu will be next seen in Prasuram directorial Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Keerthy Suresh has reportedly been approached to play the female lead in the film. Touted to be an action entertainer, the film will be bankrolled by produced by Mythri Movie Makers and 14 Reels Entertainments in association with GMB Entertainments.
