While Ram Charan is Chiranjeevi’s only son, Upasana is the granddaughter of Dr Pratap C Reddy, the Chairman and co-founder of a popular hospital chain. As both individuals hail from renowned families in the Telugu states, they are always under constant media glare and public attention. Surprisingly, not many know that the duo dated for quite some time before kick-starting their marital bliss on June 14th, 2012. Their fairy-tale wedding was easily the marriage of the decade in South India with several stalwarts gracing the event in Hyderabad.

Since their days at college, Ram Charan and Upasana were good friends. Despite knowing each other for long enough, the duo started dating only after the release of Charan’s romantic-drama ‘Orange’ in 2010. Both the families came to know about the affair when the Mega lad and Upasana visited the latter’s family temple without intimating the elders. After having their share of love, fights and arguments, the celebrity pair decided to get hitched one day and according to Upasana’s words “I was absolutely excited, thrilled and couldn’t contain my happiness”.

The Mega Power Star of Tollywood gifted his wife a rare Shetland pony imported from Ireland on her birthday. He even constructed an air-conditioned stall at the backyard of their house for the mini horse. The Kamineni scion returned the favour by gifting her husband a rare breed dog from Thailand, Jack Russell. Overwhelmed by the surprise, Charan instantly named the puppy after his lost black Labrador Brat.

It is worth mentioning that Upasana had undergone an impressive physical transformation to get rid of the excess weight from her body. Her workout routine included weight training and strength training, but 80% of her program was based on her diet.
