During his high school days itself, Navdeep bagged the lead role in Teja’s seventh film ‘Jai’. Despite critical acclaim and positive reviews for the protagonist’s acting, the film failed to perform on the commercial front. The following year, Navdeep made his Tamil debut with the crime-drama ‘Arinthum Ariyamalum’ which turned out to be a surprise hit at the ticket counters.
