Mammootty, who is on a golden run in his film career, turned 66 on Friday and treated his fans to a poster of his upcoming Telugu film ‘Yatra’ on the occasion. Directed by Mahi V Raghava, the movie is a biopic on YS Rajasekhara Reddy, who was a two-time Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh created a sensation with his reforms in the political era.
The shooting of the film began in June and the makers are in a hurry to wrap up it at the end of September. According to the reports, the movie is likely to release on the occasion of Makar Sankranti in 2019.
After delivering a string of successful films such as ‘Villagelo Vinayakudu’, ‘Paathshala’ and ‘Anando Brahma’, Mahi V Raghava will now present the life of the legendary political leader which highlights his journey in politics. Mammootty’s first look from the film was released a few weeks ago, in which he looks exactly like YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
'Yatra' is being bankrolled by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy under their banner 70MM Entertainments.
