Birthday Greetings to yesteryear actress Madhubala, who turned 51 years today. Madhubala was a popular actress of Indian cinema between the 90s to early 20s. Although she acted in merely 42 films in her almost 20-year career, she made millions of fans of her beauty and incredible acting. She charmed us with her fabulous acting and dance performances. We are thankful for this star to have given us some fantastic films during her career. As the actress turns 51 today and we take a look at some of the best movies she had been a part of. Roja

If you are a fan of the couple of Arvind Swami and Madhubala, you have probably seen the two performing dynamited explode your minds in this film. Roja is one of the most iconic films to have dealt with a simple village girl Roja, who makes desperate efforts to find her husband, Rishi after he is kidnapped by militants in Jammu and Kashmir. Patriotism was portrayed exceptionally well in this film, and Madhubala's brave act of a village belle in love with her partner essayed by Arvind Swami was outstanding.

Allari Priyudu

In Allari Priyudu, Madhubala and Ramya Krishnan played the role of stepsisters who share a great bond falls in love with the same guy Raja, who is a musician by profession. Madhubala was simply brilliant in this film. The film directed by K Raghavendra Rao is until today, considered to be one of the most successful films in Telugu cinema. The 1993 film won two Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards for Best Director and Best Music Director.

Gentleman

Since Madhubala's performance has been popularly known to remain high on reliability, it is films like Gentlemanthat won her most praises. The 1993 film with its simple storyline but exceptional performances won the audience's hearts. Gentleman is the story of a modern-day Robin Hood played by Arjun Sarja who steals money from the corrupted rich to provide education for the poor. The film is considered to be one of the most brilliant movies in Indian cinema. Directed by Shankar, the film also Goundamani, Senthil, Charan Raj, Subhashri, and Vineeth play crucial roles.

Chilakkottudu

Madhubala played the role of an air hostess who falls in love with a womanizer photographer. In fact, that photographer is dating two more air hostesses at the same time. He spends time with each of them in the same house while making sure that they never learn of each other. She got benefitted by the success of Chilakkottudu and was surely recognized of her craft. Directed by EVV Satyanarayana, the film starred Jagapathi Babu as the male lead.

Ganesh

The 1998 film brought together a stellar cast of Victory Venkatesh, Rambha, Madhubala, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Chandra Mohan, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Ahuti Prasad and Chalapathi Rao together. Madhubala essayed IAS officer Divya in the film, which won critical acclaim and her hard work was sincerely noticed. Director Thirupathisamy had tried something new to the table, and it was nice to see Madhubala playing such an exciting role in the film.
