One of the most celebrated filmmakers of Tollywood, Dil Raju turns a year older today. Born and raised in Narsingpally, Nizamabad Telangana, as V Venkata Ramana Reddy he is arguably most famous for his simple persona on life as he is for his filmmaking. The ace producer is among the most known filmmakers in Tollywood who is known for producing films like Dil, Arya, Bommarillu, Parugu, Kotha Bangaru Lokam, Mr Perfect, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Supreme and more. Having worked with almost all the lead stars of the industry, Raju has many close friends in the showbiz.

96 Telugu remake

The shooting of 96 Telugu remake has been wrapped up in October. Directed by Prem Kumar who helmed the original version, the film was extensively shot at Hyderabad, Vizag, Maldives and Kenya. Featuring Sharwanand and Samantha Akkineni in the shoes of Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan, the yet-untitled film will be releasing on Valentine's Day 2020. Dil Raju acquired the Telugu remake rights of 96 and convinced the original director to direct the same.

Iddari Lokam Okate

Iddari Lokam Okate, starring Raj Tarun and Shalini Pandey, is directed by GR Krishna and produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. While the soulful tracks composed by Mickey J Meyer that managed to create an impression, the film is gearing up for a release on December 25. The romantic-drama has completed its censor formalities recently and received a U/A certificate.

V the movie

Mohan Krishna Indraganti's multi-starrer 'V', featuring Nani, Sudheer Babu, Aditi Rao Hydari and Nivetha Thomas in lead roles has been bankrolled by Dil Raju under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. Sudheer plays a cop in the film while Nani plays the antagonist. The film marks the milestone 25th film of Nani. Amit Trivedi is in charge of composing music for this venture while PG Vinda had handled the camera. Tipped to be an action-thriller, V will release on March 20, 2020.

VV Vinayak's debut film Seenayya

Famous director VV Vinayak is making his celluloid debut as a lead actor with Seenayya bankrolled by ace producer Dil Raju. Ace musician Mani Sharma has been roped in to compose the tunes, and Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada cinematographer Sai Sri Ram will handle the camera. N Narasimha Rao who has previously helmed the 2018 supernatural thriller Sharabha is directing the movie.

Icon

Stylish Star Allu Arjun will team up with Venu Sriram of MCA (Middle Class Abbayi) fame for Icon to be produced by Dil Raju. Actress Disha Patani, who made her acting debut with the 2015 film Loafer, is in talks to play the female lead in the movie. However, no official announcement has been made about it. Venu Sriram reportedly wanted to cast a fresh face opposite the stylish star.

SSMB 27

Mahesh Babu will be teaming up with Vamshi Paidipally for his 27th project tentatively called SSMB 27. Accordingly, he has come up with an exciting storyline for the actor. The two have held a few rounds of discussions, and talks are said to be in the final stages. Sources claim that Vamshi is busy scouting some locations in Vizag for the shooting of this film from summer. Dil Raju will bankroll the film under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.

VD 12

Vijay Deverakonda's 12th project will be directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Dil Raju. On the occasion of Raju's birthday, the director announced the same on his social media account. Currently, Shiva Nirvana is busy making Tuck Jagadish starring Nani in the lead. Vijay Deverakonda has Kranthi Madhav's World Famous Lover, Anand Annamalai's Hero and Puri Jagannadh's Fighter in his kitty.
