The movie Sahasam completes seven years of release today and actor Gopichand was hit with a wave of nostalgia on the occasion.
Sahasam was one of the most memorable films of Gopichand’s career. The thriller that went on to become a super hit had Gopichand playing the role of security guard who travels to Pakistan to search for the treasures left behind by his grandfather. Taapsee Pannu played the role of Sreenidhi in the film who was very devotional and wished to visit temples in Pakistan. Actor Suman also played a crucial role in the film.
An overjoyed Gopichand wrote on Twitter, “#7YearsForSahasam. This date 7 years ago #Saahasam movie caught all your attention. I've always waited for a script like this. On this occasion I feel thankful to all the cast & crew who worked on this project. And my audience & fans, all my love goes to you.” (sic) The movie was directed by Chandra Shekar Yeleti and it was his second film with Gopichand. The duo had worked together on
Okkadunnadu
which was a thriller as well.
Currently, Gopichand is working Seeti Maar which is a sports drama with kabbadi at its centre. He is playing the role of a kabbadi coach in this movie.
Tamannaah
is playing the lead role opposite Gopichand in this film while it is being directed by Sampath Nandi. This is Gopichand’s second pairing with
Sampath Nandi as the two had previously worked on Gautham Nandi together which released in the year 2017.
