'Ghazi operators' had some hard homework to do

As if learning their jargon-laden lines from the script wasn't hard enough, actors Satyadev Kancharana and Priyadarshi Pulikonda who play the roles of two technical operators in the movie, Ghazi, went an extra mile. Satyadev, who plays a Sonar Operator in the movie, tells us, 'Even before I went on to the sets, I downloaded a manual online to understand what my character would be dealing with. Yes, we had the script to refer to, but having some idea about the technicalities always helps with fleshing out the role better.'
A sonar operator on a submarine is basically the eye of the whole operation which means that Satyadev plays a crucial role as the story unfolds.
Meanwhile, a radio operator decodes instructions and information sent in morse code from the headquarters.
Actor Priyadarshi who is playing the role did quite a bit of research on his own. He even consulted his sister who is in the Navy to get accurate and realistic details.
'I spoke to my sister to understand the behaviour, body language and even the lingo used on submarines, especially during a crisis,' he says.
