Ganesh celebrates the silver jubilee anniversary of its release on June 19, 2023. The movie is known for its iconic dialogues and its amazing climax scene. It is said to be one of Venkatesh’s best performances.
Ganesh was released on June 19, 1998. It was directed by Thirupathi Samy and was written by him, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, and Gopalakrishna Paruchuri. While Venkatesh, Rambha and Kota Srinivas Rao played the lead roles in the movie.
The most iconic dialogue of Ganesh, which remains a fan favourite to this day, is, “Any center, single hand, Ganesh.” Venkatesh says this dialogue in many scenes throughout the movie. The iconic dialogue is always accompanied by him putting his fist up in a threating move.
Venkatesh plays the role of a sincere journalist in this movie. The character Ganesh loses his father, sister and a friend due to corrupt politicians. The rest of the movie is about how he takes revenge on the people and system that wronged him. Though it has been a quarter of a decade since it released, Ganesh remains a favourite amongst the true Venkatesh fans.
