From pushing actress Anjali to touching Radhika Apte's feet: 5 times Nandamuri Balakrishna made headlines for misbehaviour

Tollywood superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna's latest video, showing him pushing actress Anjali on stage during the pre-release event of her movie ‘Gangs of Godavari,’ went viral on social media. Some found it disrespectful, while others criticized Anjali for laughing instead of reacting. Now, she has revealed that they have shared a good bond and friendship for years and that it was an act of love. This is not an isolated incident, as the actor has previously attracted attention for similar misbehavior and impulsive actions in public.

In 2016, during the audio release event of the film 'Savitri', Balakrishna made vulgar comments about women, stating that his fans would not accept him playing eve-teasing roles unless he gave a kiss or made the woman pregnant. His remarks sparked outrage, leading to a police complaint being filed against him. His political party later issued an apology for his comments.

Balakrishna has also been caught on video slapping fans on multiple occasions. In one incident during an election campaign in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh, he slapped a fan who was trying to take a selfie with him. Another similar incident occurred in 2017 when he slapped a supporter who was trying to put a garland on him. In 2021, he slapped a fan in Hindupur for pointing a phone camera at him, although the fan later dismissed the incident, saying he didn't mind it.

In a more severe incident in 2004, Balakrishna fired shots at filmmaker Bellamkonda Suresh and his associate, Satyanarayana Chowdhary, using a revolver registered under his wife's name. Balakrishna claimed he acted in self-defense, but the case was eventually dismissed due to insufficient evidence.

Balakrishna's behavior has also raised eyebrows on film sets. In 2017, he was seen on camera hitting his assistant and asking him to tie his shoelaces. Despite public criticism, no action was taken against him.

Actor Radhika Apte also shared an unpleasant experience while working with Balakrishna. She recalled an incident where he tickled her feet without her consent during the shoot of a Telugu film. Apte confronted him, and he did not repeat the behavior. She mentioned that this kind of behavior did not occur during her work on films with other prominent actors, such as Rajinikanth.
