Friday Night Anthem from Niharika Konidela and Rahul Vijay’s Suryakantam let down by its lyrics

The second single from debutant Pranith Bramandapally’s film Suryakantam was launched today by Majili actor Chaitanya Akkineni.

After launching Sid Sriram’s melodious track Inthena Inthena, the makers of the film launched Friday Anthem. Sung by Anurag Kulkarani, Harika Narayan and rapper Roll Rida of Arupu and Bigg Boss Telugu film, the number features lyrics by Krishna Kanth and music by Mark K Robin. Though the song promises to be an anthem for all party animals, there’s nothing new that it offers. The music is decent at best and the lyrics are subpar.

The opening lines, “Friday night baby, party night baby, go crazy, just go crazy. Friday night baby, party night baby, go crazy, go boozy, go hazy,” are the perfect example of lyrics that are to come. Things just go from bad to worse from there. The lyrical video’s visuals don’t do much to uplift the song either.
