He announced on Monday that he wants to raise funds for a school at Guntur which was started by well-known freedom fighter and social reformer Unnava Lakshminarayana in 1922. He says, ���������This was the first school for women and also the first one to stars teaching Telugu and Sanskrit. Now that the school is in need of some financial help to encourage female education, from our side we would like to contribute funds for the school.��������� To get funds for the school, a cultural event has been organised on Saturday at Satya Sai Nigamagamam.
Apart from Tollywood stars, young singers like Geetha Madhuri, Sri Krishna and Hema Chandra will be participating. Veteran director
Dasari Narayana Rao and MLA Jayasudha will also be present in this event, according to Tammareddy.
