Fahadh Faasil recently spoke to the press while promoting one of his upcoming films and spilled some unknown details about
Sukumar’s Pushpa.
Revealing that the climax scene at the police station was initially supposed to be the interval band, he said, “When I was first narrated the script, there was no Pushpa 1 and 2. That scene led to the interval but later on, Sukumar decided he had enough material to split the film in two parts.” In fact, the actor revealed, the director had enough material to make a third part too.
“I spoke to him recently and was told there’s scope for a third part too. There’s just so much material.”
For the unversed, Pushpa, details the life of Pushpa Raj and his rise from a coolie to gangster. The film revolves around red sandalwood smuggling and Sukumar had initially researched on the subject for a web-series. In the film,
Allu Arjun plays the titular Pushpa,
Rashmika Mandanna plays his lover Srivalli, while Fahadh Faasil plays a sadistic police officer called Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. Pushpa: The Rise, the first film in the franchise ended with a face-off between Pushpa and Bhanwar. The next film, Pushpa: The Rule will see a continuation of the rivalry and potentially introduce Vijay Sethupathi as a new villain. Further details are awaited.
