The complaint points to a person running a meme or social media page. This page shared an obscene and sexually explicit comment about the actor. The words used were described as derogatory and defamatory. The content attacked her dignity as a woman.
Police investigation underway
Police said such language can cause serious emotional damage. It also leads to public shame and mental pressure. The actor reportedly went through anxiety and mental turmoil because of this incident.
After receiving the complaint, Banjara Hills Police started their investigation. They are trying to identify the individual behind the abusive Instagram comment. Officers are reviewing social media posts carefully. They are also collecting digital evidence related to the case.
Police confirmed that the actor raised the “serious issue of online harassment and abuse” during film promotions. They noted that online platforms should not be used to insult or humiliate anyone.
