The festival of
Dussehra, also known as Vijaya Dashami, marks the victory of Goddess Durga over demon Mahishasura. The auspicious occasion is widely celebrated a day after the nine-day long Navratri festival and it is done with great fervour and enthusiasm across the country. In a few parts, the festival marks the end of “Ramlila” and remembers Lord Rama's victory over Ravana.
