Dulquer Salmaan’s intense drama 'Lucky Baskhar' trailer is out, Portrays a risky path to wealth

The highly anticipated trailer for 'Lucky Baskhar', featuring Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary, was unveiled on October 21, 2024. This drama thriller, directed by Venky Atluri, is about the story of a banker Baskhar Kumar set in Mumbai in the 90s.

The story of Baskhar's journey is about how he earns a meagre amount of Rs 6,000 as a salary. But still, the temptation of money makes him make some risky decisions in the name of fulfilling his family's needs.

Baskhar and his wife, Sumathi have an emotional exchange; she mock-teases him for his new attitude towards money and reminds him that only his arrogance has led to all these things.

The trailer also consists of some powerful dialogues where Dulquer states, "I am not bad; I am just rich". He provocatively states that "money is more intoxicating than cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs".

The film hints at various ways through which Baskhar might seek wealth, like stock market dealings or even bank fraud but deliberately keeps these details under wraps.

'Lucky Baskhar' also portrays how wealth can impact relationships and self-perception.

The film is set to hit theatres on October 31, 2024, in multiple languages including Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada.
