‘Dragon’: Anil Kapoor teams up with Jr NTR and Prashantha Neel for the upcoming action thriller - Reports

Bollywood’s Anil Kapoor has officially joined the cast of ‘Drgaon’ starring Tollywood star Jr NTR and helmed by ‘KGF’ and ‘Salaar’ director Prashantha Neel. The upcoming action thriller will be the second time the Bollywood’s versatile star will be working with Jr NTR after they were seen together in ‘War 2’.

Anil Kapoor shared the ‘Dragon’ poster on his Instagram stories. Along with it, he wrote, “One has landed…the rest two are lining up… #Dragon”. With this post, Anil Kapoor also made it clear that he and Jr NTR will be working together on another project too. His story also suggests that later in the future, they will be working together on another project.

Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel aim for something big

‘Dragon’ is one of the most-awaited films right now. Jr NTR, according to a report by Bollywood Hungama, after the mixed response his earlier two films, including ‘War 2’ and ‘Devera’ had, wants the film to be perfect. He wants every scene to feel strong and powerful. He wants the film to be better than it is now. There is talk that some parts of the film may even be shot again to make it stronger.

Shooting in Africa

Speaking of the film’s shoot, there were also reports, as per Moneycontrol, that suggested that Prashanth Neel finished a location recce in Africa and seems to have picked some important locations where action sequences for an international shoot will be filmed. The team is expected to stay in Africa for three or more weeks.

Cast of the film

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ star Rukmini Vasanth is playing the female lead in ‘Dragon’. This will be an important role in the film. With Jr NTR, Anil Kapoor, and Rukmini Vasanth, the cast looks very strong. The film is expected to be high on action, emotion, and drama.

The makers had earlier planned to release ‘Dragon’ during Sankranthi. Later, the release was shifted to June 25, 2026.
