Director Venky Atluri reveals plot details for Dulquer Salmaan's 'Lucky Baskhar'

Dulquer Salmaan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming Telugu film, 'Lucky Baskhar', directed by Venky Atluri. It also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead. The film is set to hit theatres on October 31, 2024, coinciding with Diwali celebrations.

Venky Atluri has been actively promoting the film and recently shared intriguing details about its plot as per a report by 123Telugu. He explained that 'Lucky Baskhar' explores the banking sector and its scams, a theme that hasn’t been attempted before in Indian cinema, both in the South and Bollywood. The story is set during the late 1980s to early 1990s, a time when financial transactions were recorded in ledgers, making it easier for fraudsters to manipulate records.

He also mentioned how the film showcases the scams and manipulations that could happen in the banking industry during that era and how fraudsters managed to escape justice. He added, "In today’s world, it is impossible to do a bank scam because everything is digitalized. Back then, transactions were registered in ledgers, and it was very easy to do scams by manipulating the records."

He also described Dulquer's character will have grey shades.

The makers have also arranged special premieres that will take place across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on the evening of October 30. The theatrical trailer is scheduled to be released on October 21.
