Director Ramesh Varma announces Rakshasudu 2 with an intense poster

On Tuesday, director Ramesh Varma announced that he is all set to helm the sequel for his 2019 hit film Rakshasudu. The remake of Tamil blockbuster

featured Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran and was one of the sleeper hits of 2019. The sequel, which is titled

Rakshasudu 2

, will tell the story of a psychopath and the bloodshed that he causes. A concept poster of the film was revealed on Monday, which indicates that this crime thriller is going to be intense. Sharing the poster on social media, director Ramesh Varma captioned it, "Hold your breath. Going to be More Thrilling. #Rakshasudu2 is On!!(sic).” The lead actors of this film are yet to be announced and the makers assert that a star hero will headline the project. Other details of the project, including its launch date, are yet to be officially announced.

Meanwhile Ramesh Varma is busy with his upcoming film

, featuring Ravi Teja, Dimple Hayati, and Meenakshi Chaudhary. The shooting for this film has been wrapped up and post-production works are pending. The film is expected to hit screens later this year.
