Director Jyothi Krishna redesigned Bobby Deol's role in 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' after being impressed by his 'Animal' performance

Bobby Deol is enjoying a remarkable second innings in Indian cinema following his powerful and haunting performance in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer and Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial 'Animal.' Since then the actor has been roped into various negative roles across industries. He will be next seen in the much-awaited Pawan Kalyan starrer 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu Part 1: Sword vs Spirit,' where Bobby essays the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.As per a 123Telugu report, directorJyothi Krishna was so moved by the actor's performance in 'Animal' that he made a significant creative decision and completely redesigned Bobby's character.Speaking about this decision, the director said, "Bobby Deol garu's performance in 'Animal' was spellbinding. The way he conveyed so much emotion without uttering a dialogue left us all stunned. It inspired me to reshape his role in our film, giving it an entirely new dimension."The director shared that the changes were not just superficial tweaks. The updated version of Aurangzeb has a more detailed backstory, altered motivations, a deeper emotional arc, and even changes in physical appearance. According to Jyothi Krishna, this revision was essential to align the character with Bobby's evolved screen presence and audience expectations. The filmmaker added that Bobby was thrilled when he heard the updated script.Following his success in 'Animal,' Bobby has become a sought-after actor for intense and impactful roles. Apart from 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu,' he was earlier seen in Suriya's ‘Kanguva’ and Balakrishna's 'Daaku Maharaj' and has also signed a film with Thalapathy Vijay for the negative role in 'Jana Nayagan.'Nidhhi Agerwal plays the female lead in this grand historical drama and further features Nassar, Vennela Kishore, and other prominent names.The movie's trailer is announced to be released on July 3rd.
