Filmmaker Dil Raju's wife, Tejaswini addresses IT raids

The Income Tax Department conducted raids at the residence of prominent Tollywood producer Dil Raju in Hyderabad. The raids also extended to the homes of his brother Shirish and daughter Hanshitha Reddy. These actions are part of an ongoing investigation into potential tax evasion within the film industry.

As per a report by 123Telugu, Dil Raju’s wife, Tejaswini, spoke to reporters, clarifying that the IT officials were performing routine checks related to the film industry. She confirmed that officials had taken bank lockers for inspection and requested bank details during their investigation. The lockers were opened and shown to the officials as part of the process.

The raids took place at various locations, including Dil Raju’s residence in Ujas Villas, Jubilee Hills, and his office in Banjara Hills. Reports indicate that a total of 55 teams were involved in the searches across multiple sites linked to Dil Raju and other industry figures.

This investigation comes on the heels of Dil Raju's recent productions, including 'Game Changer' and 'Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.'. While 'Sankranthiki Vasthunnam' has performed well at the box office, 'Game Changer,' which starred Ram Charan and was produced on a massive budget of Rs 450 crore, has been met with disappointing returns.

The exact reasons for the IT raids have not been disclosed yet, but further details from authorities are expected soon.
