Did you know ‘Athadu’ makers originally had plans to feature THIS actor before Mahesh Babu?

Trivikram Srinivas is a well-respected filmmaker in the Telugu film industry known for making great movies over the past twenty years. One of his standout films is the 2005 action thriller ‘Athadu,’ starring Mahesh Babu, which is considered one of his best works. This movie was a big success and helped revive Mahesh Babu's career after a series of setbacks.

Interestingly, the lead role of Nanda Gopal in ‘Athadu’ wasn't initially offered to Mahesh Babu. It was first offered to the late actor Uday Kiran, who was known for movies like ‘Chitram Cheppina Katha’ and ‘Jai Sriram.’

But Uday Kiran declined the role, and eventually, Mahesh Babu took on the role, which is now considered one of his best performances.

Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas are teaming up again for their third collaboration, a film called ‘Guntur Kaaram.’ This movie also stars Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Ramya Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu, and Sunil.


Manoj Paramahamsa, known for his work in films like ‘Leo’ and ‘Enai Noki Paayum Thota,’ is the cinematographer, and the music for the film is composed by S. Thaman. ‘Guntur Kaaram’ is scheduled to hit theaters on January 12th next year.
